The sea-view casita
One&Only Palmilla gave me the kind of Cabo stay that improved when I stopped trying to fill every hour. A casita with a sea view and a sheltered beach made it possible to linger, then go into the water without mistaking dramatic surf for a safe swim. The particular room outlook was worth choosing.
Breakfast & butler
Breakfast at Lucille's Kitchen in the Palmilla Social Club could be relaxed rather than another formal meal. The butler helped with plans while I spent time in the casita or on the beach. Another restaurant on the property made sense for dinner; a busy bar elsewhere was not a reason to give up the room's quiet.
Bill & inclusions
My bill deserved an unhurried look before leaving. Exactly which breakfasts, transfers and butler arrangements came with the rate mattered more than finding out after a car was waiting. An incorrect charge that took weeks of calls to sort out would have been a poor last memory of an otherwise easy holiday.
Would I return?
Palmilla's sheltered shore and the view from a well-chosen casita make a few slow Cabo days appealing. Getting the room and included services clear ahead of time let the attentive side of Palmilla feel natural instead of being interrupted by questions about extras.
