I write and edit
every review.
I keep one voice and one scoring system across the site. I do not average my conclusions with a rotating panel or soften them to make every hotel sound equally good.
ABOUT LUXITRIPS
I built LuxiTrips to help you choose the right hotel, the right room and the right rate—without pretending every expensive stay is an exceptional one.
I have traveled to more than 70 countries. That time in hotels has made me very particular about what works, what gets annoying after the first night and which expensive extras actually improve a trip.
WHAT I PAY ATTENTION TO
I care about the exact room category, where it sits in the building and whether its extra square footage is useful. I look at connecting doors, hallway noise, blackout curtains, climate control, storage, shower pressure and whether there is enough space to open real luggage without turning the room into an obstacle course.
I also hold hotel status with Hyatt, Hilton, Leading Hotels of the World, IHG and Accor. I have learned to separate benefits that sound good on a program page from benefits that change my stay: a meaningful room upgrade, breakfast I would otherwise pay for, guaranteed late checkout and staff who handle the details without repeated requests.
I put those practical questions ahead of lobby photos and brand language. My goal is simple: explain who a hotel is right for, what room is worth booking and when I think the money is better spent somewhere else.
I keep one voice and one scoring system across the site. I do not average my conclusions with a rotating panel or soften them to make every hotel sound equally good.
I never judge a hotel without looking at its closest alternatives. I ask what a competitor does better, who should choose it instead and whether the rate difference is justified.
A beautiful lobby cannot make up for a bad room. I name the category worth booking, the drawback I would watch for and what the price needs to deliver.
