Room & bath
The Peninsula London first convinced me with its rooms. The finishes felt fresh, and a deep bath and dressing space made a slow morning easy. There was space to unpack properly rather than leave the cases open on the floor. A Wellington Arch outlook was worth choosing precisely; a large window facing elsewhere would not give the same sense of the city.
Room position & housekeeping
I checked the room's position too. At the end of a long corridor, the walk to the lifts becomes part of every day. Housekeeping refreshed the room twice daily, so I could have breakfast inside, go out into London and come back to a comfortable place to sit.
Breakfast, tea & spa
The Lobby Restaurant served an extensive à la carte breakfast rather than a buffet to hurry through. Afternoon tea and the spa were separate things to reserve when they mattered. I gave the pool another afternoon instead of squeezing it between arrival and dinner. Spending time inside made the room rate feel more worthwhile than hurrying out every morning.
Would I return?
A spacious Wellington Arch room and time for the pool justify another visit better than a new London address alone. Knowing the exact view and where the room sits in the building would make that comfortable daily routine even better.
