Lakefront pool
Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como made the lake feel close from the private pier to the heated pool at its edge. Blevio was quiet, but the shuttle into Como's main square made dinner away from the hotel easy enough. I liked that balance more than a village-center address.
Room location
My room's position changed the daily routine. A room near the main terrace made the spa and breakfast simple, while one in a separate villa offered more privacy and a longer walk. I checked the actual lake angle rather than assume every building on the estate had the same view.
Breakfast & lunch
Breakfast was worth lingering over because cooks prepared dishes on the spot, not only at a buffet. Lunch at CO.MO was another reason to stay near the water before heading into town for an evening meal. An early arrival did not mean the bedroom was ready; leaving the bags and enjoying the grounds was easier than counting on an early key.
Would I return?
Another visit would be about the heated lakefront pool and a boat day, with the room chosen for its position. The quiet Blevio setting made everything feel slower, provided I did not expect to walk to a different lakeside town each night.
