Casino Square
Casino Square was part of Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo from the moment I arrived. The marble lobby and the movement outside made the place feel unmistakably Monaco, while a room looking toward the harbor would offer a different stay from one facing the sea. That choice mattered when the square was busy.
Service & breakfast
The service could be unexpectedly personal. I asked for a copy of Hello Monaco, and it was waiting upstairs before I had unpacked. Breakfast deserved more than a hurried stop; dinner at Le Grill and time in the bar were worth arranging in advance rather than assuming the room key guaranteed a table.
The pool & Monte Carlo
For a swim, the indoor pool at Thermes Marins was shared with the nearby Hôtel Hermitage, not hidden somewhere inside my own building. The atmosphere around the Grand Prix was also worth choosing knowingly. On those dates Casino Square was exciting and full of movement, but no place to expect a sleepy palace holiday.
Would I return?
Casino Square itself would be the reason to return, with a view that makes the social scene part of the stay. A good view, an unhurried breakfast and time to walk around Monte Carlo made the social theater enjoyable; booking purely for the famous name would be a less convincing reason.
