Gardens & pools
Capella Singapore felt like a break from high-rise city hotels as soon as I reached its gardens and three pools. Sentosa had room to slow down, yet Singapore was still close enough for an evening out. The distance between a villa or room and the beach made its exact position worth knowing.
Thoughtful service
The care was wonderfully practical. Staff remembered my preferred pool spot and coffee order; back in the room, a rack for wet swimsuits, a mat by the bed and fresh towels appeared without a reminder. Those little things made a longer stay easier to live in. A buggy was handy when the room sat farther from the facilities.
Breakfast & bar
Breakfast at Fiamma began with that remembered coffee. Later, the terrace bar above the pool was a good place to sit, sometimes with peacocks moving through the greenery. I reserved dinner when a particular table mattered, then left another evening open for the city rather than staying on the island every night.
Would I return?
Capella Singapore works when the grounds and pools are part of the holiday, not just scenery around the bedroom. Given enough time to use them, the spread-out layout felt restful instead of inconvenient. I would choose it again for that balance between island quiet and easy access to Singapore.
